Newton Collected European
In this renovation, Nicole and her dad, RJ Noonan Construction, took her 100 year old four square in the heart of Newton Center, down to the studs, allowing us to enhance its structure and modernize its systems. By knocking down walls, and taking advantage of unused space with the prior layout, we created a larger, more open kitchen/ Eat in space, added a mudroom and laundry room, and created a primary bathroom and closet upstairs, in an underutilized existing walk in closet space. Nicole used collected items from her travels abroad, including fabric sourced for her Vietnam travels, a farm table from Provence, France, and many other collected vintage items from abroad to layer the old with the new. The project seamlessly blended modern convenience with European elegance while preserving the home’s historic charm.
